QUED

Qued was my final Capstone project in the Visualization program at Texas A&M. Throughout the semester, I conducted research to create an all-encompassing brand for an LGBTQ+ sex education mobile application prototype. Deliverables included brand guidelines, a three-part zine series, and the mobile application prototype. For this project I wanted to challenge my skills in graphic design, UI/UX design, as well as Illustration, to create a diverse but, cohesive final project.

zine collection

With the completion of each lesson in the Qued sex education application users gain the access to download the lesson’s accompanying zine. Each zine is inspired by the content of the accompanying lesson but with the intention of inspiring and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Qued’s mission is to provide a space for young people to feel represented and advocated for.  Content inside the zines includes illustrative artworks, and quotes from LGBTQ+ people that responded to a sex education survey that Qued provided.

mobile application

Qued’s mobile application is an educational application designed in Figma with different lessons related to sex education topics. Each lesson can be taken on its own and does not need to be taken in consecutive order. As users work through lessons they earn “stickers” or individual illustrations. When they fully complete a lesson they will have access to download that lesson’s zine.
